You can also get to Villars from Geneva airport by train. There is a station at the heart of the airport which has services to Aigle and Bex (usually on a train bound for Brig).

If speed is of the essence, get off at Aigle and change onto the local bus service (the bus should be included in the price of your ticket to Villars but check) for the short but steep journey from Aigle to Villars. This final leg of the journey takes around 30 minutes with stops en route and arrives at the bus station in the centre of Villars. Alternatively, take a taxi from Aigle to Villars – you can reserve one online in advance through Ski-Lifts – they will wait for your train and take you to the door of your accommodation.

The more scenic route is to continue on the train from Geneva as far as Bex, the stop after Aigle. From here you can take the cog railway from Bex to Villars (45 minutes) for a comfortable journey with beautiful views of vineyards, forests and mountains.
