Ski & Snowboard Schools in Schladming

Schladming’s main ski and snowboard schools are Hopl and Tritscher. Blue Tomato is a specialist snowboard school.

At certain times – pre-Christmas, most of January and from mid-March – excluding peak periods, Ski amadé “Learn to Ski” packages include a money-back guarantee (100% refund of ski pass, ski school and ski rental and 50% accommodation rebate) for novice adults who fail to respond successfully to 5-days active participation in ski school (conditions apply).

Dachstein Tauern ski region prides itself on being especially family friendly, with a number of ski runs and magic carpets created specially for kids and a total of 11 children’s ski schools offering full day or half day ski lessons with lunch time child care also available.

At the special Hopsi children’s area small children can learn the rudiments of skiing, and they can hire helmets for €10 for the whole week.

Besides skiing, there are good opportunities for children to enjoy tobogganing on gentle slopes adjacent to some hotels and special tobogganing runs, including night time sledging on Hochwurzen, Rittisberg and at Galsterbergalm. And at Kinderland at Ramsau, kids can try snoeshoeing, ice skating, learn to build an igloo or for older children, an intorduction to ice climbing.
