Chalet Makalu is a unique chalet accommodation in the heart of Courchevel 1550 village. This wooden chalet, with large terrace balcony spanning the length of the glass façade, sits just 200 metres from the ski slopes and offers a private ski shuttle service to the lifts.

Using materials from hundred-year old mountain farms and creating a unique blend of modern and traditional design. The mix of alpine and contemporary style give the open plan kitchen living space a cosy ambience but with ample space and modern amenities. The living room is fitted with a comfortable sofa in front of the flat screen TV and old handcrafted wood surroundings, along with the roaring open fire providing a warmth and homely feel. The large south-facing terrace/balcony has uninterrupted views of the snow covered forest and mountain valley.

As you walk up the spiral wood staircase to the upstairs bedrooms, the rooms are simply alpine; wood ceilings and crisp white walls provide the canvas for the alternative beige, mocha and grey colours to flourish. Each of the 5 bedrooms in the chalet has their own sleek ensuite bathrooms with black tile finish and bath or shower.

Chalet Makalu is self catered with a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, stove, dishwasher and fridge, allowing guests to prepare some rich homely meals. If cooking isn’t your thing, there are plenty of restaurants and bars located in the village. Continental breakfast is available every morning on request.

An outdoor Jacuzzi is also available for guests, as well as private parking, ski rental and school. Storage lockers are provided at the bottom the ski slopes for guests wanting to deposit their skis.
